Everywhere Agency is at the Forefront of the Biggest Social Media Trend: Women

You may have seen FinancesOnline.com’s latest infographic citing top research firms like Pew and Nielsen in their article “Why Women Are The Real Power Behind The Huge Success Of Pinterest and Tumblr”. What you don’t see is what goes on behind Everywhere Agency’s closed doors every day and how it relates to this article. We are the embodiment of what this infographic tells us. We are at the forefront of the biggest social media trend: women. Why?

  • Women use social media more often and in more ways than men! This is certainly true at Everywhere Agency. We’re a woman-owned and mostly female-run agency. Like all women, we consume more social media news, interact with more brands on social media, and lead the trend of social media use on mobile significantly more than men do. At Everywhere, not only are we doing all of those things in our personal time, but also as our main work focus, making us experts in the field of social media marketing. We love it when clients ask us to target our very own demographic (aka women) because we live it and breathe it socially, every day!
  • Women are more likely to interact with brands in social media and we facilitate this at Everywhere through our blogger community, Everywhere Society. Everywhere Society has a reach of over 50 million from 1100 bloggers, 95% of whom are women. They joined the Everywhere community to connect with brands we work with like Macy’s, Cox Communications or Coca-Cola.
  • More women consume news in social media. At Everywhere, we do community management for brands like Novelis, Promethean and Macy’s Culinary Council. We’re total geeks when it comes to analyzing trends among our followers on social platforms. No matter the brand, we always find that it’s women who interact more and respond more frequently to news stories.
  • And finally, “women drive the growth of the visual web.” Women are the majority on every social network, Pinterest and Instagram in particular. More media is embracing the addition of increasingly visual features to their sites like Twitter’s addition of being able to add multiple photos and tag friends. This is caused by the trends that women are setting; yet it also undoubtedly drives women to those platforms. Everywhere is always learning and utilizing new features and platforms that are coming to light.
