AMYs 2019 Recap: Walking Away with Two Big Wins
If we could summarize last night’s 2019 AMY Awards with one word, it would be “legendary.” For so many reasons — from two incredible wins to the amazing clients, coworkers, and marketing industry professionals we got to spend such a memorable evening with! We’re so ecstatic and truly honored to have won Best Digital Advertising Campaign, and for our fearless CEO Danica to have been named the 2019 Marketer of the Year!
Time flies when you’re having fun at an AMY Awards ceremony, but the awards themselves are the products of months of collaboration and ideation between our agency team and our clients. And for Danica, her legendary win is the culmination of a lifetime of risk-taking, experience, and community support.
Marketer of the Year
Danica has taken a crazy road to get where she is today, to say the least. After some producing gigs on a few little-known shows, Sesame Street and SNL, she decided to pivot her career focus to marketing. In 2009, she took a big leap to launch Everywhere Agency. Not only was she taking a big risk starting her own business, but it was at the height of a financial crisis.
To say things kicked off with a bang is an understatement. In our first year of business alone, we received a Guinness World Record for “The Most Widespread Social Network Message” for the #BeatCancer campaign (and ended up raising $70K for cancer-related causes). The rest is history.
Under Danica’s leadership as CEO, we’ve become the top Atlanta influencer marketing agency in an industry projected to be valued at $10 billion by 2020. She has grown our in-house network of micro-influencers to over 5,500, and these influencers have created successful campaigns for Macy’s, OshKosh B’Gosh, Newell Brands, Coca-Cola, and more.
We truly couldn’t think of anyone who’s more deserving of Atlanta AMA’s Marketer of the Year award, which recognizes outstanding marketing achievement during the previous year.
Best Digital Advertising Campaign
The goal was simple for Foodsaver® Gamesaver®: to combine National Hunting and Fishing Day with influencer marketing to build awareness for their vacuum-sealing technology, and position it as essential gear for a day spent in the great outdoors.
We partnered with Newell Brands (the parent company of Foodsaver®) and developed a truly unique influencer campaign that leveraged content and product giveaways to reach a very niche audience of hunting and fishing enthusiasts.
By sharing their adventures in the great outdoors, the influencers celebrated GameSaver®, spotlighting it as an essential tool for hunters and anglers who are just as serious about preserving the freshness of their game as they are about spending time with their friends and family.
Alongside the influencer campaign, we supported the GameSaver® team in the facilitation of the GameSaver® Off-the-Grid Sweepstakes, which took place throughout the campaign. The influencers complimented their content with product giveaways on their own channels to build more engagement and encourage their followers to enter the sweepstakes.
Once all was said and done, the campaign engaged over 1.9 million hunting and fishing enthusiasts, and 8.5K people entered the Off-the-Grid Sweepstakes. Our influencer-hosted product giveaway also resulted in 2.3K new Instagram followers for the brand. And, that’s how our Foodsaver® Gamesaver® “Off the Grid” campaign won the best Digital Advertising Campaign award at the 2019 AMYs.
